How To Use In Your Routine

Before applying, warm the bullet up on the back of your hand.

For each area of skin, apply 4 passes back and forth as the last step of your skincare routine for optimal protection.

Is this a chemical or mineral sunscreen?

We chose to develop Watermelon Glow Dew Balm as a chemical sunscreen to ensure a clear application and seamless reapplication with no white cast or pilling. The chemical filters we selected were chosen specifically to reduce the environmental impact of the formula, and we added soothing and hydrating ingredients to make the formula comfortable on sensitive or irritated skin.

What sunscreen filters are used in this formula?

Watermelon Glow Dew Balm contains chemical filters Avobenzone 3%, Homosalate 5%, and Octisalate 5% for optimal sun protection without a white cast!

What is the PPD value/PA rating of this formula?

Watermelon Glow Dew Balm is SPF 45, rated PA+++ and offers broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection! SPF ratings represent the level of UVB protection in a formula, whereas a PA rating represents the level of UVA protection. While all sunscreens sold in the US must undergo SPF + critical wavelength testing, it is not required to test for UVA protection (ISO 24442). This is why you don’t always see PA ratings on every SPF product! Opting to use a product with a PA rating (like Dew Balm!) allows you to feel confident your sunscreen is providing UVA protection at the PA level mentioned!

How do I use this in my routine?

Watermelon Glow Dew Balm should be applied daily (no matter the weather!) as the last step of your skincare routine after moisturizer. Be sure to reapply every 2 hours!

Can I re-apply over makeup?

Yes! Watermelon Glow Dew Balm can be reapplied on top of light makeup for all-day protection. Be sure to gently pat it in after reapplication!

Does this work for all skin tones?

Watermelon Glow Dew Balm is formulated with all skin types and tones in mind! We chose to develop this as a chemical sunscreen to ensure a clear application with no white cast.

Is this SPF formula reef-safe?

While there is no one, shared definition of reef-safe domestically or globally, we have chosen to formulate without Octinoxate and Oxybenzone sunscreen actives due to their environmental impact.

What is optimal storage for my SPF?

We recommend storing Watermelon Glow Dew Balm in a dry place, and away from prolonged direct sunlight!
